WalkBlur for Mac

Support

Quick answers for camera access, unexpected covers, and screen blur.

The camera will not start

Check Camera access for WalkBlur in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Close other camera apps and restart WalkBlur. If no camera is available, connect one before trying again.

The cover appears unexpectedly

Press Escape, use Pause protection on the cover, or pause from the menu bar. Pausing also stops the camera. Adjust the look-away delay in Settings if needed, then turn protection back on while facing the camera in good light. Startup recalibrates your screen direction.

I want the camera off

Choose Pause protection, Stop, or quit WalkBlur. Pausing stops camera capture and removes the cover; Turn on protection restarts monitoring. Closing the settings window leaves active protection running. Another app may keep the camera light on after WalkBlur pauses. If you are using an older build that keeps the camera active after pausing, choose Stop or quit the app to release it.

Snapshot blur is not working

Enable blur in Settings and grant Screen Recording permission. Restart the app if macOS requests it. A capture failure leaves the solid cover in place; check the error shown in the app.

Remove my saved face

In Only me mode, open Settings and choose Delete saved face. This removes the local profile and pauses protection.
